About LOGAN

LOGAN is a suite of programs produced by RMC for use in safety and reliability analysis.

LOGAN Fault and Event Tree Analysis enables the construction and evaluation of fault and event trees using a simple user interface, laying out the diagram in either a traditional or a more efficient format. Results from fault tree analysis can be incorporated into an event tree to provide a complete evaluation of the probability of hazards of various severities.

LOGAN Monte Carlo Simulation can be used for the evaluation of more complex systems or processes. It allows the effects to be assessed for different levels of redundancy, standby arrangements, spares holdings, levels of manning, etc. Time-dependent failure probabilities are also available. Simulations can also be animated to improve visualisation and understanding of the process being modelled.
