Support to New Build Reactor Design

AREVA RMC has a very thorough understanding of the regulatory requirements and assessment principles used in the UK for licensing nuclear sites. This knowledge and experience is being used by AREVA NP to support the Generic Design Assessment being carried by the UK regulators for AREVA's proposed new build reactor - the EPR.

It is expected that AREVA RMC will assist AREVA NP on safety and licensing issues in supporting its clients (EDF and EON) for the EPR in the UK. In addition, this knowledge and understanding is being used by AREVA NC to support the Nuclear Management Partners at Sellafield Ltd.
