IEC 61508 Safety Integrity Assessment

IEC 61508 is the international standard for achieving functional safety in electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety related systems. AREVA RMC is establishing a reputation for advising clients on its use and carrying out assessments of systems to determine the Safety Integrity Level achieved, as defined in IEC 61508. Recent work has included shield door interlock systems for cyclotrons and radioactive materials handling cells and a wide range of process and radiological instruments.
