AREVA RMC wins the Institute of Physics Best Practice in Professional Development Award 2008

AREVA RMC has been awarded the Institute of Physics Best Practice in Professional Development for the Small and Medium Enterprise category.

The IoP committee was impressed by the submission and they felt that AREVA RMC showed many good practices and featured most of the mechanisms much larger companies employ as common practices, in particular:

·the submission was made by an employee, which showed that staff are proud of the provisions RMC have to support their learning and development;

·in-house training is impressive for a medium-sized organisation;

·both technical and soft skills are covered in the training programme;

·good encouragement for staff in public outreach activities;

·positive recognition through AREVA RMC’s recognition award scheme.

AREVA RMC were invited to collect the award at IoP’s prestigious Awards Dinner in January. This recognition from the IoP continues to highlight AREVA RMC’s professionalism and commitment to staff development.
